Mental Health Billing Specialist Wanted!

 

Location: Fully Remote / Virtual (Maryland)

Heart and Mind Counseling Services is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Billing Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate billing of mental health services provided by our practice. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely, providing flexibility and convenience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of mental health billing, including claim submission, payment posting, and accounts receivable management.

• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and billing guidelines.

• Resolve billing discrepancies and appeals in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with therapists and administrative staff to streamline billing processes and optimize revenue cycle management.

• Stay informed about changes in insurance policies, billing codes, and reimbursement rates relevant to mental health services.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health billing or medical billing, preferably in a behavioral health setting.

• Proficiency in billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

• Strong understanding of insurance billing procedures, including CPT and ICD-10 coding.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Certified Professional Biller (CPB) certification or similar credential is a plus.
